Join us for A Night with Obsidian, an evening of cabaret-style performances, drinks, and light hors d’oeuvres celebrating the power of music and theatre to bring people together.

This special fundraiser will feature performances by local artists and supporters of Obsidian Theatre Company, sharing songs that inspire reflection, conversation, and hope.

Proceeds from the evening will help support our upcoming production of Next to Normal, our second annual show and a powerful story about mental health, family, and healing.

Dad's an architect; Mom rushes to pack lunches and pour cereal; their daughter and son are bright, wise-cracking teens, appearing to be a typical American family. This deeply moving piece of theatre provides a wonderful opportunity for performers to explore dramatic material and showcase vocal talents with an energetic pop/rock score. Next to Normal is an emotional powerhouse that addresses such issues as grieving a loss, ethics in modern psychiatry, and suburban life and is ideal for community theatres, as well as colleges and regional theatre companies.
